Jack Vance is dead.
Did you know he was my favorite author? I talk about him all
the time. I read his books over and over again. Last night I was reading The Green Pearl for the fifth time.
He was ninety-six. He wasn’t writing anymore. I knew he would die. We all do.
I am sad, and I am smiling, and my eyes are stinging.

I will add Jack Vance to my list of writers to read. It amazes me how many great writers there are whom I have never read.
